E-Verify E-Verify is a free Internet website that enables employers to quickly and accurately confirm that their new hires are legally eligible to work in our country. E-Verify has an accuracy rate of 99.5%. E-Verify provides an answer in less than 6 seconds for 93% of queries. Over 60 companies in Marin including 22 in Novato use E-Verify. By reserving jobs for citizens and legal immigrants, E-Verify helps unemployed Americans find jobs. On July 8, 2009, the Senate permanently authorized E-Verify and required all federal contractors to use E-Verify.   Novato should do the same for its contractors and pass our citizens' initiative!
